Harry Potter

This is my first post of 2008. I started this painting last year after reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but I just couldn't get it right so I left it to stew for a few months and and came back to it.
The HP series always evoke really strong images for me, but this is the first HP illustration I've done. It's from the scene near the start where Harry is pursued by the Death Eaters and something awful happens... but no spoilers here!
The Deathly Hallows was really good but I thought the part about the wands wasn't very logical. What does everyone else think? I shall have to read it again to see if there was something I missed.

    I used my wand(could not resist) to tag you. I like your work and did not read the book (you saw that coming?). I have not read any Harry Potter, but I am going to do that now. Why is it that time is so short? sigh. I have a heap to read next to my bed but I am so tired I fall asleep quickly.
