Sorry

Faun is lost in a nasty cave full of goblins. He went for a walk this morning and fell down a hole,he could not find a way out although he tried all day...now the goblins look hungry! Poor Faun is so sorry he left his forest today.

  1. Holy cow ! That's a kewl illustration ! I rilly dig caves, your hollowed out underworld is awesome. The honeycombed rock and the grayish blue shading makes this really stand out !

It definitly has a JRR Tolkien feel to it.

  3. The depth, the light and dark contrast, and the eerie little creatures popping up like gophers really draws me in. I love the story too. I'm wondering what's going to happen!

  9. A beautiful image - you've made the depth and the shadows very fine. It's this sort of cave, I could imagine, there was in Lord of Rings - it's just telling a story, great drawing!

  17. Thanks for all the kind comments
Tolkien has always been a great source of inspiration, although having seen the LOTR films i don't think Alan Lee and John Howe will ever be surpassed, they did such fantastic drawings...i've given up trying to illustrate any more Tolkien :/
As for Faun... well I've got tons more illos and stories lined up for him so he'll just have to get out of there somehow!!
