This was drawn with Art Rage a neat little graphics program, a bit like Painter, but without the fussy bits.It is great fun to use, I tried out the free version and liked it so much I bought it the next day.
irisz, i woudn't recommend the top floor, there's hardly room for a mouse to sit down in, try the cake next door ;)
anne, so glad you like ArtRage, i'm having so much fun with it
liz, i used the felt tip to sketch out a line drawing on a tracing layer, and then drew over it with large chalk and pencil for the detail. i used the "blackboard" for the paper texture, it feels so smooth to draw on (even though i'm drawing on a wacom:))
Fantastic illustration in all respects! And thanks for the mention of ArtRage. I've used Painter for years so I'm used to dealing with the "fussy bits", but I'd not heard of this program. I've downloaded the demo to check out. Thanks again!
that's amazing... i love it, i would like to rent the top floor... :))
